I was surprisingly impressed with the Al-Salam Restaurant. My first thoughts upon entering the establishment were “clean” and “inviting.” The owner greeted me and my company upon entry.
The moment, however, when I realized that Al-Salam’s is not a typical Mediterranean diner, was when I viewed the menu. I found prices that should be considered extremely reasonable.
With the wide array of appetizers, we ordered both hummus and baba ganoush for starters and were quite pleased. For the entrée, I took delight in two full skewers of deliciously seasoned chicken kabobs (halal meat, of course) served over rice and with a side salad. It took my guests little time to devour their meals (shawerma and fries), indicating that they were more than pleased, as well. Finally, I urge anyone that pays a visit to the Al-Salam Restaurant to save room for the chef’s heavenly dessert of a baklava pastry glazed with a wonderfully special syrup. It will put a smile on your face for the rest of the day.
You can treat yourself to a particularly special breakfast or lunch or you can simply celebrate the events of the day with quality dining out for a fair cost at Al-Salam’s.

Al-Salam Middle Eastern Restaurant is our favorite place to dine when we are in the mood for good Middle Eastern cuisine. We almost always order Al-Salam’s Mixed Kabob platter with the spicy rice. They are generous with the portions, so my husband and I share the platter, but we order two small appetizers, hummus and baba ganoush, also. The kabob platter comes with a kafta kabob, a chicken kafta kabob, and lamb and chicken kabobs delicately seasoned and charbroiled to perfection.
We always enjoy the delicious halal food at the restaurant, but good service is important to us, too. Nothing ruins a good meal quicker than bad service, so we eat at Al-Salam for great service we can always count on.
